The Snow Stick
Moline officials say snow melt and run-off have changed the smell and taste of water there.
In a statement posted Thursday, March 14, 2013, city officials said the changes do not affect the quality of the water.
“The water continues to be safe to drink and use despite these changes,” the statement said.
The utilities department adjusts how it treats water to adapt to changing seasonal and river conditions.
