About 9,000 MidAmerican Energy customers in and around Moline, Illinois lost power for up to an hour and a half Tuesday morning, January 29, 2013.
The outage happened just after 5:30 a.m.
A spokesperson for MidAmerican Energy said the outage was not planned; it was caused by a repair needed at a substation.
Just over 6,300 customers had service restored by 6:20 a.m. Another 1,200 were restored before 6:30 a.m. and the final 1,500 customers were restored by about 7 a.m.
